Be careful not to expose your tattoo to direct sunlight for extended periods of time, and avoid tanning for at least 30 days. This can result in softening of scabs which can cause a poor heal and can also be quite painful on a fresh tattoo. Avoid soaking your new tattoos or letting shower water hit them directly. We recommend a very light layer of either A+D ointment or Aquaphor, as needed, after the dry-heal. Let your tattoo dry-heal for at least 24 hours before applying any ointments.
